Thick octavo, 926pp, in original bluish green cloth with embossed gilt centerpiece, gilt titles on sunned and cloth-worn spine, worn corners, rubbed edges and slight soiling on front cover. Binding is still firm although rear hinge is starting. Wonderfully informative book about New York City offering a view of life as it was in 1870. Internally very good. All folding maps still present and attached including large foldout map of New York City in front of book.
