Oblong quarto Illustrated with 288 bright chromolithographs, printed two to a page, with description printed on the reverse side. Non paginated, but 284 pp including plates and index. Bound in original burlap colored cloth with gilt titles on front cover. No inscription or bookplates, but there is a pasted down 2cent stamp issued in 1892 on FEP. The binding shows light discoloration at the tops and on the spine, with soiling on the back, edgewear to boards, and bumped corners, with inside joint starting at pages with plates 255-258. There was no tissue guards in between pages so color from flowers, although still very bright, has left impression on text. Overall, the book is in good condition. Wild Flowers of America.
