Corners repaired (i-vi)text 1-53p, with 38 mystical, allegorical wood engravings. Small bookstore sticker and Bookplate and penciled ownership of Augusta E. Boylston 30E60 which I originally mistook for zip code 30260 but then realized this is her NYC address - 30 E. 60th St. I found her listed in the New York Social Blue Book of 1930). Colophon illustrated and reads: The Dragon of the Alchemists, A book of Drawings by Frederick Carter, Engraved on Wood by W. M. R. Quick, Printed by the Whitefriars Press, Ltd. Published in London by Elking Mathews, Ltd. 1926. Internally very clean, there are no marks in text or on plates. Binding is tight, internally in very good condition.
