Small children's illustrated octavo with pictorial covers and red cloth spine. Many color illustrations throughout to compliment the story of Fal-lal-la the Fistherman and the Fairy fish that he hooks. Spine has been reinforced and satin tape covers inside front hinge. Inside front board has tipped in map depicting the Maze of Marvels, the land beyond the Green Door that they visit. A little Disney with a little Mother Goose and some Alice in Wonderland make up this story written in rhyme. The book is quite scarce, there are none listed for sale and only two in U.S. Library Holdings and one in Britain. May Clarissa (nee Gillington) Byron was an obscure, but prolific author and illustrator of mostly children's books, she died in 1936.
