Philips Authentic Imperial Maps for Tourist and Travellers, India Empire North and India Empire South.   George Philip & Son Ltd., Liverpool. C1940.  Both maps are in splendid condition, backed on oil cloth and folded into grey cloth covers with titles on cover.  India North has blue label on front indicating map was supplied by Rand McNally & Company in the US.  India South has same blue sticker on back board.  Spines are labeled respectively India North  -  India South.  No dates, but circa 1940.  India Empire South also has inset map of Burma, the Straits Settlements and Federated Malay States, Madras and Environs, Bombay, Bombay and Environs, and Nicobar Islands.  India Empire North has inset maps of Calcutta and Calcutta and Environs.  When covers are first opened, there are orange paste downs with black type advertising Philips' other maps.  Great set.  Philips Authentic Imperial Maps for Tourist and Travellers, India Empire North and India Empire South
