Brown polished calf leather boards with gold trim in good condition, front hinge on Vol. I very weak, spines once beautifully ornate with gilt and red title compartments now cracked. Small piece of spine missing from Vol. III. Corners worn, edges rubbed, typical of well read books of this age. Marbled end papers with small bookplate of William Brocklehurst.
