The Complete Poetical Works of Bret Harte, Cabinet Edition, Houghton Mifflin and Company, Boston, 1899.  Seventh printing of this very popular author and poets works.  Small octavo bound in carmel colored quarter leather over marbled paper boards, leather is worn and scraped, paper edges have some loss, all edges rubbed.  Gilt top page edges. Gilt titles on six compartment spine with raised bands.  Marbled boards, front fep is missing.  Page 374 has very jagged, uneven edges where someone opened the pages with there finger instead of with a knife.  Frontispiece of Harte opposite title page, tissue guard is present.  Binding is tight and solid,book is internally very clean, no markings.  The Complete Poetical Works of Bret Harte.
