Book is bound in slate colored cloth, front board highly decorated with emblem of Maison Quantin and with gilt titles, spine also decorated with gilt titles, rear board decorated with shield of Bibliotheque de L'Enseignement des Beaux-Arts. Bookplate of the Duchess of Cleveland 1904 present as well as the bookplate of William P. Gallagher. Signature of Duchess at top of half title page. Book is in overall very good condition, but upper right hand corner of 35 leaves have small corner piece missing. Top and bottom of spine is rubbed and corners are bumped and there is some rubbing on edges. Book is very clean internally, there are no marks, no writing, no underlining, and no foxing. Page edges have slight browning. 318pp including table of contents at back of book. Text is in French.
