This is the story of Clyde "Slim" Williams who left for the wilds of Alaska in search of adventure at age eighteen and spent the next thirty two years trapping, hunting, breeding dogs, and blazing trails. He was a proponet of the Alaska Highway system. In 1933, he traveled down his proposed highway in a dogsled in an attempt to visit the Chicago World Fair and he became quite a celebrity. 278p.
