The Players' Shakespeare Edition, with an introduction by Mr Harley Granville-Barker, and illustrated by Mr Thomas Lowinsky, printed at the Shakespeare Head Press, Stratford-Upon-Avon and limited to 100 signed copies for sale and six copies not for sale. This copy is number 92. It is quarto, bound in vellum by Zaehnsdorf with gold gilt decorated framing on both covers, gilt titles on spine, and printed on Bachelor's Kelmscott hand-made paper. Signed by Messrs. Granville-Barker, Lowinsky, and Rutherston. Half title page, red and black title page, publisher's advertisement, introduction (ix-xxiv), preface(ix-xxxvi), Variants in the Text (xxxviii), and 98 pages incuding finial, followed by colophon page. Five coloured illustrations with tissue guards and many black and white textual illustrations. Rear inside board has small gilt stamped mark of the binder. Top page edges gilt, outer and bottom page edges rough. Book is in near fine condition, any flaw is very minor: There is very light soiling to the vellum covers. Binding is tight and solid and internally the book is pristine, it appears to never have been looked at more than once. There are no marks, no bookplates, no inscriptions, no owner signature.
