There is half-title page, the verso of which is foxed or age spotted, followed by colour frontispiece with another half page colour frontispiece that folds up to change view of preceding frontispiece. These too having foxing or age spots. Tissue guard separating from frontispieces from title page is present. Title page is uncut and only the edges where the preceding frontispiece touched have discoloration. Table of Contents is followed by List of Plates, List of Figures, and Introduction. (vii-xxiii). Two hundred and fity-two pages, some with occassional to moderate foxing only on pages preceding or following a plate. Neither the front or rear inside covers have any foxing. Book is octavo with dark brownish-gray paper boards over a burnt sienna colored cloth spine. The front board has a stamped vignette with the edges made of laurel wreaths and inside is titled The American Society of Landscape Architects Founded 1899. Paper label on spine. Page size is staggered and top edges are rough from cutting. Binding is tight and solid, all plates present and there are also many textual illustrations and drawings throughout. Book is in very good condition as it has been housed in its light brown slipcase all these years. Front bottom edge of slipcase is split, but all other edges intact.
