Illustrated frontispiece facing illustrated title page, title page, dedication page, preface or introduction titled "Before the Curtain" followed by Contents and List of Plates (i-xvi). Octavo. pp624. Leather is somewhat scuffed in places, binding is sturdy. A few of the steel engravings have left discoloration on opposite page but any text affected is quite legible.
